The Anvil is a wide stainless steel bracelet made of solid links, laid out in an offset brick pattern that gives it a bold, tool-watch look. It closes with a fold-over clasp under a hinged flip-lock cover, the classic setup on dive watches, and the clasp has a row of small holes for fine adjustment.
It comes in three styles: brushed silver steel with screw links, black with screw links, and black with pin links. Silver keeps the plain look of bare steel; black suits a black or dark gray watch. Screws or pins only matter when you size it, which the section below walks through.
Order the width that matches the gap between your watch's lugs: 18, 20, 22 or 24 mm. Measure inside the lugs with a ruler, or check the back of your current strap. Match it exactly: a bracelet that is too narrow moves around between the lugs, and one that is too wide will not go in. Our fit guide shows how to measure.
The Anvil has straight end links. They fit any watch with the right lug width and leave a small, even gap between the case and the first link. The wide, chunky links look most at home on larger sports, dive and field watches, and the 24 mm size suits big cases where a slim bracelet would look lost. Not every style comes in every width; the options on this page only show the combinations we can send. To compare other steel styles, see all our watch bracelets.
The Anvil arrives long and sizes down, and it comes with a small kit for the job. The photos show it: a spring bar tool with a forked tip, a small screwdriver for the screw versions or a link pin tool for the pin version, and three spare pins.
Close the bracelet around your wrist with the clasp centered underneath and count how many links need to go. Take the same number from each side of the clasp so it stays centered.
Work over a soft cloth so small parts don't roll away, or let a watch shop size it in a few minutes. Keep the spare links in a small bag in case you want to size up later.
Leave room for about one finger between the steel and your wrist. For the last bit of fit, move the clasp's spring bar to another of its small holes. Wrists swell a little in heat and after exercise, so when in doubt, go slightly looser.
The Anvil attaches to your watch with spring bars, the same way a strap does. Slide a spring bar through the end link, press one end in with the forked tool, line it up with the lug hole and let it snap into place. Give the bracelet a firm tug to check both ends before you wear it.
Rinse it in fresh water after swimming in the sea or a pool and dry it with a soft cloth. Now and then, scrub between the links with a soft toothbrush and warm, soapy water. On the black versions, skip abrasive cleaners and polishing cloths, which can dull the finish. Brushed steel gathers fine scratches with daily wear; that is normal. How deep you can go in water depends on your watch, not the bracelet.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on this page and at checkout.
You can return an unworn bracelet in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. Read the full terms on our delivery and returns page.
They come with it. The photos show the kit: a forked spring bar tool, a small screwdriver for the screw versions or a link pin tool for the pin version, and three spare pins. A watch shop can also size it for you.
Only how the removable links come apart. Screw links are held by small screws that you turn out with the screwdriver. Pin links are held by pins that you push out with the link pin tool. Once sized, they wear the same, so pick the finish you like.
Yes, if your lug width matches. Straight end links fit any watch with standard lugs and leave a small, even gap between the case and the bracelet. Watches with built-in bracelet connections or smartwatch connectors need their own fittings.
