The Bridle is a leather band for Garmin watches with 20 or 22 mm lugs. The top is smooth leather with stitching along both edges. Underneath is a black rubber backing that runs the full length of the band and shows as a thin ridged edge along the sides. The leather is the part people see; the rubber is the part that sits against your wrist.
The hardware is the same on every color: a matte black pin buckle and two leather keepers to hold the tail. Quick-release pins at both ends let you put it on and take it off without tools. On a Garmin with a black bezel, the black buckle ties in with the watch instead of standing out.
There are four colors:
Next to a silicone sport band, The Bridle looks dressier, which makes it a good fit for the office, dinner and weekends away. For runs and the gym, a silicone band is the easier choice; you can find both in our Garmin watch bands. Still deciding between materials? Our guide to choosing a strap can help.
The Bridle comes in two widths, both with standard quick-release pins. Pick the one your watch takes:
The small versions are the ones to watch: the 41 mm Venu 4, Venu 3S, Venu 2S, Forerunner 265S, Forerunner 255S and Vivoactive 4S take 18 mm bands, so The Bridle doesn't fit them. It doesn't fit the Forerunner 955, 965 or 970 either, because those use QuickFit bands, which attach differently.
Tan, Black and Black/Red come in both widths. Dark Brown is made in 20 mm only, so for a 22 mm watch such as the Venu 3 or Forerunner 265, pick one of the other three. The color picker shows what is available once you choose your width.
The listing gives the band length as 8.3 in (210 mm). To compare it with the band you wear now, lay that one flat next to a ruler; our fit guide walks you through measuring.
Changing bands takes a minute. Turn the watch face down, slide the little lever on the old band's pin inward and lift the band out of the lug. Seat one end of The Bridle's pin in a lug hole, pull its lever, line up the other end with the opposite hole and let go. Repeat with the second half, keeping the buckle half at the top of the watch. A gentle tug on each half tells you the pins are locked.
Wear it so the watch sits on top of your wrist, with room to slide a finger under the band.
Treat the leather side like any leather strap. Keep it dry, take the band off before a shower or a swim, and if it does get wet, pat it dry and let it air dry at room temperature, away from a heater or direct sun. The rubber side can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth whenever it needs it; dry it straight after so no water sits along the leather edge. Keep perfume, lotion and hand sanitizer off the leather, and store the band flat or loosely curled when you are not wearing it.
Each order is one band, both halves, in the color and width you choose.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on each product page and at checkout.
You can return an unworn band in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. Read the full terms on our delivery and returns page.
Vivoactive 5 and 6, Venu Sq 2, Venu 2 Plus, Forerunner 165, 245 and 55, and the 42 mm Forerunner 570 take 20 mm. Venu 3, Venu 2, the 45 mm Venu 4, Forerunner 265 and 255, the 47 mm Forerunner 570 and Vivoactive 4 take 22 mm.
Dark Brown is made in 20 mm only. For a 22 mm watch such as the Venu 3 or Forerunner 265, choose Tan, Black or Black/Red; those three come in both widths.
You can, but it isn't the best pick. The rubber underside is the side that touches your skin, yet the top is still leather, and leather doesn't like getting soaked. For hard workouts and swims, switch to a silicone band and keep The Bridle for the rest of the day.
No. Those three use QuickFit bands, which attach differently. The Bridle has standard quick-release pins for watches with 20 or 22 mm lugs, such as the Venu 3, Vivoactive 5 and Forerunner 265.
The listing gives a band length of 8.3 in (210 mm). Lay the band you wear now flat next to a ruler and compare; if the numbers are close, the fit will be similar. Our fit guide shows how to measure your wrist and your current band.
