The Reef is an oyster style bracelet, the plain three-link pattern with three flat links in every row. It is made of solid stainless steel, so it feels substantial and balances a larger watch head well. On the silver version the outer links are brushed and the center links are polished, so a thin line of shine runs down the middle while the sides stay matte. The black version has a black finish all over and suits a black or dark gray watch.
The oyster look is sturdy and unfussy. It suits dive, sports and pilot watches, and it dresses down a field watch just as easily. If you want more shine and flex, a jubilee or a mesh may suit you better; you can compare every style on our watch bracelets page.
Match the width to the gap between your watch's lugs. The black version comes in 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 mm; the silver version comes in 22, 26 and 28 mm. Not every finish comes in every width, so the options on this page only show the combinations we can send. Not sure of your lug width? Measure inside the lugs with a ruler, or find your watch in the chart on our watch bands page.
The 24, 26 and 28 mm sizes are made for big pilot and dive watches and other oversized cases, where a narrow bracelet would look lost. On a wide case, three broad links keep the bracelet in proportion with the watch head.
The Reef has straight end links. They fit any watch with standard lugs of the right width and leave a small, even gap between the case and the first link. They are not shaped to close up against any particular case, so expect that gap on every watch.
Like any link bracelet, The Reef arrives long and sizes down. Close it around your wrist with the clasp centered underneath and count how many links have to go. Take the same number out of each side of the clasp so it stays centered. A link removal tool makes the job quick, and a watch shop will do it in a few minutes if you would rather not. Save the spare links in case you want to size up later.
Leave room for about one finger between the steel and your wrist. For the last bit of fit, the clasp has a row of small micro-adjust holes: move the clasp's spring bar to the next hole to loosen or tighten it a little. Wrists swell slightly in heat and after exercise, so when in doubt, go one hole looser. Our fit guide has more on measuring your wrist and lugs.
The Reef closes with a fold-over clasp under a hinged safety cover with a ridged grip. Fold the clasp shut, then press the cover down until it clicks; to open it, lift the cover and press the push-button release. The cover keeps the clasp from springing open if it catches on something.
The bracelet attaches with spring bars through the end links, the same way a strap does. Push the spring bar in with a spring bar tool, line it up with the lug holes and let it snap into place, then give the bracelet a firm tug to check both ends.
Rinse it in fresh water after the sea or a pool, dry it with a soft cloth and now and then scrub between the links with a soft toothbrush and warm, soapy water. The polished center links show fine scratches sooner than the brushed sides; that is normal with daily wear. On the black version, skip abrasive cleaners and polishing cloths. How deep you can go in water depends on your watch, not the bracelet.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on this page and at checkout.

Three flat links in every row. On the silver version the outer links are brushed and the center link is polished; the black version is black all over. It is a plain, sturdy look that suits dive, sports and pilot watches, and it sizes by taking links out.
The one that matches the gap between your watch's lugs. The black version comes in 20, 22, 24, 26 and 28 mm; the silver version in 22, 26 and 28 mm. Measure inside the lugs with a ruler or check the back of your current strap.
No. The Reef has straight end links, which fit any watch with the matching lug width and leave a small, even gap between the case and the first link. Curved end links close that gap, but only on the case shape they are made for.
Close it around your wrist, count the links that need to go and remove the same number from each side of the clasp. A link removal tool makes it easy, or a watch shop can do it in a few minutes. Use the clasp's micro-adjust holes for the last bit of fit.
Lift the hinged safety cover first, then press the push-button release and fold the clasp open. To close it, fold it shut until it clicks and press the cover down over it.
