The Parachute Elastic NATO Strap

What it is and how it feels

The Parachute Elastic NATO Strap is a single-piece strap made from elastic woven nylon. The weave gives it a soft, stretchy feel that moves with your wrist instead of biting into it. It threads under your watch case the way a classic NATO does, so your watch stays put even if a spring bar lets go.

Hardware is steel: a pin buckle and two keepers. Spring bars come in the box, so you can fit the strap as soon as it arrives. The strap is washable. Wipe it clean and let it air dry.

Pick the lug width that matches your watch. The strap fits traditional watches with 18 mm, 20 mm or 22 mm lugs.

How to fit it

1. Remove your current strap and note the lug width.
2. Slide the spring bars into the strap ends.
3. Seat the spring bars in the lugs. The strap runs under the case.
4. Thread the free end through the buckle and keepers.
5. Pull to your preferred tightness. The elastic holds it in place.

A spring bar tool makes the swap easier, but many people do it with a small flat tool. If you are between sizes, measure your lugs before you order.

Care

The strap is washable. Wipe it with mild soap and water, then let it air dry. Avoid machine washing and high heat. Rinse after heavy sweat or salt water to keep the nylon fresh.
