The Cadence is a stainless steel link bracelet for Garmin watches with standard quick-release lugs, such as the Venu, vivoactive and many Forerunner models. It is built like a classic watch bracelet: three rows of brushed links, closing with a folding clasp that has a push button on each side. On a Venu or a vivoactive, it turns a training watch into an everyday wristwatch that works with a shirt cuff.
There are five finishes: Silver, Starlight (a pale champagne), Gray, Pink and Blue, each one color all over.
Each end of the band holds a quick-release spring bar with a small pin you pull aside with a fingernail, so the band goes on without tools. The ends are straight and sit between the lugs like those of any classic watch band.
Garmin watches with quick-release lugs take an 18, 20 or 22 mm band, depending on the model and case size:
The owner's manual of your watch gives the band width in the section on changing the bands, or you can measure the gap between the lugs with a ruler. Order the width that matches exactly. Silver comes in 18 and 20 mm, Starlight and Blue in 20 and 22 mm, and Gray in 22 mm only. Pink comes in all three widths.
The Cadence does not fit watches with QuickFit bands, such as the Fenix, epix, Enduro, Instinct and the Forerunner 745, 955, 965 and 970: QuickFit and standard quick-release bands are not interchangeable. Our Garmin watch bands page has bands for those watches too.
The band measures about 6.9 in (175 mm) without the watch and fits wrists of 6.1 to 8.5 in (155 to 216 mm) once sized. It comes at full length. To shorten it, set the band in the link tool from the box, line the tool's pin up with the pin in the link and turn the knob to push it out. Take the same number of links out on each side of the clasp so the clasp stays centered, then push the pin back in to join the band.
Remove one link at a time and try the band on in between. It should sit close enough that the watch stays on top of your wrist, with room for a finger underneath. If you land between two lengths, the looser fit is usually more comfortable on warm days. Keep the spare links and pins in case you want the band longer later. Our fit guide shows how to measure your wrist first.
To fit the band, slide the pin on your current band inward and lift the band out. Set one end of the Cadence between the lugs with the spring bar in one lug hole, pull the small pin aside, line up the other side and let go. A light tug on each end tells you it has seated.
Stainless steel copes with rain, sweat and hand washing. After salt water, chlorine or a workout, rinse the band in fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth, working into the gaps between the links and around the clasp hinge. A soft toothbrush with a drop of mild soap gets between the links. Brushed steel picks up fine marks with wear, as every steel bracelet does. On the colored finishes, skip metal polish and scouring pads so the color stays even. For swims and hard training, a silicone band is more comfortable and swaps in a few seconds.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on each product page and at checkout. You can return an unworn band in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. The full terms are on our delivery and returns page.
It depends on the model and case size. 18 mm fits the Venu 4 41 mm, Venu 3S, Venu 2S, vivoactive 4S and Forerunner 255S and 265S. 20 mm fits the vivoactive 5 and 6, Venu Sq 2, Venu 2 Plus and Forerunner 55, 165, 245, 645 and 570 42 mm. 22 mm fits the Venu 4 45 mm, Venu 3, Venu 2, vivoactive 4 and Forerunner 255, 265 and 570 47 mm.
No. The Fenix, epix, Enduro, Instinct and Forerunner 745, 955, 965 and 970 use QuickFit bands, which attach in a different way and do not swap with quick-release bands. Choose a QuickFit band for those watches.
Some finishes are made in fewer widths. Silver comes in 18 and 20 mm, Starlight and Blue in 20 and 22 mm, and Gray in 22 mm only. Pink comes in all three.
Most people do. The band fits wrists of 6.1 to 8.5 in (155 to 216 mm) and arrives at full length. Use the tool from the box to take links out evenly on both sides of the clasp, and keep the spares.
Steel handles rain and hand washing. After chlorine, salt water or sweat, rinse it in fresh water and dry it, including the gaps between the links. For swimming and hard workouts, a silicone band is more comfortable.
