The Flat Link is a solid stainless steel band for Apple Watch made of wide, flat links in a single row, so the band reads as one smooth surface from the watch to the clasp. Each link is a solid piece of brushed steel, and the narrow gaps between them give the band a clean, ribbed look without any visible pins on top.
It closes with a butterfly clasp: two hinged steel leaves that fold together on the inside of your wrist and lock shut. To open it, press the buttons on both sides of the clasp at the same time and the leaves unfold. Because the clasp sits on the inside, the outside of the band shows only links, with no buckle or flap.
There are five colors: Silver, Starlight, Blue, Rose Gold and Gold. Starlight is a pale, warm silver with a hint of champagne. Blue is a deep, saturated blue that works well with a silver or dark watch case. Silver, Rose Gold and Gold are close to the classic watch case colors, so the band and the watch look like a matched set.
The connectors are built into the end links, so there are no screws or separate adapters to fit. Press the band release button on the back of the watch, slide the old band out, then slide each end of the Flat Link in until it locks.
The band comes in two sizes, matched to the two band groups for Apple Watch:
S10+ means Series 10 and later. The 42 mm case is the one to watch: on Series 10 and later it takes the smaller band, while on Series 1 to 3 it takes the larger one. The case size is engraved on the back of the case, and the Watch app on your iPhone shows it under My Watch, General, About.
The band works with Apple Watch Series 1 and later, SE and Ultra, and all five colors come in both sizes. Our Apple Watch bands page lists the case sizes of every model if you want to double-check.
The size chart in the listing gives a fit for wrists of 5.5 to 8.2 in (140 to 210 mm). The band arrives long, and you shorten it by taking out links. Take the same number out on each side of the clasp so it stays centered under your wrist, and go one link at a time, trying the band on in between. If you have not sized a link band before, a watch repair counter can do it in a few minutes. Keep the spare links in case you want to lengthen the band later.
A good fit is close enough that the watch stays on top of your wrist and does not slide over the wrist bone, with room for a finger underneath. If your wrist swells on warm days, leave a touch more room. Our fit guide shows how to measure your wrist before you start.
Stainless steel handles rain, splashes and hand washing. After sweat, chlorine or salt water, rinse the band in fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth, including the clasp hinge and the gaps between links, where grime builds up. A soft toothbrush with a little mild soap cleans between the links. Brushed steel picks up fine marks with daily wear, and wide flat links show them more than small ones. On the Blue, Gold, Rose Gold and Starlight bands, skip metal polish and scouring pads so the color stays even.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on each product page and at checkout. You can return an unworn band in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. The full terms are on our delivery and returns page.
Press the buttons on both sides of the clasp at the same time and the two leaves unfold. To close it, fold them back together until they lock.
It depends on the series. The 42 mm case of Series 10 and later takes the 38/40/41/42 (S10+) size. The 42 mm case of Series 1 to 3 takes the 44/45/46/49 size. The case size is engraved on the back of the watch.
The listing's chart gives 5.5 to 8.2 in (140 to 210 mm). The band arrives long and you take out links to fit it. If you have not done that before, a watch repair counter can size it quickly.
No. The connectors are part of the end links. Slide each end into the band slot on your watch until it locks, and press the band release button on the back of the watch to take it off.
