The Summit is a stainless steel link band for Apple Watch with wide, flat links and a butterfly clasp. The broad links follow the straight lines of the Ultra's squared case, which is where the band looks most at home, but it is made for every case size from 38 to 49 mm. The end links have the connectors built in, so each end slides straight into the band slots on the watch.
There are five colors. Starlight is a warm light gray and Titanium Gray a cooler mid gray, and both sit close to the natural Ultra case. Silver is the brightest of the three, Black suits a dark case, and Blue is a deep, even blue. Every color is stainless steel, Titanium Gray included: the name describes the color, not the metal. Not every color is made in every case size: in 44/45/49, the size for Ultra, the band comes in Starlight and Blue.
Your case size is engraved on the back of the watch, and it also shows in the Watch app on your iPhone under My Watch, General, About. Match that number to one of the four band sizes. S10+ in a size name means Series 10 and later.
Take care with a 42 mm watch: on Series 10 and later it is the small case, on Series 1 to 3 it is the large one. The chart on our Apple Watch bands page lists every series with its case sizes.
The band arrives long and gets shortened by taking out links. A pin tool is in the box. Lay the band on a soft cloth, use the tool to push out the pin that joins two links, lift out a link, and push the pin back in until it sits flush. Take the same number of links out on each side of the clasp, so the watch stays centered on your wrist. Go one link at a time and try the band on between steps. Keep the spare links and pins in the box in case you want them back later.
The size chart for this band gives a wrist range of 5.5 to 8.2 in (140 to 210 mm). To know where you sit in that range before you start, wrap a strip of paper around your wrist where you wear the watch, mark where it meets, and measure it flat; our fit guide walks through it. A link band should keep the watch still on the top of your wrist without pressing in. If it leaves a mark on your skin, it is one link too tight.
The butterfly clasp folds flat under the wrist. Press the buttons on both sides to open it, and fold it shut until it clicks.
Stainless steel takes daily wear in stride. Wipe the band with a soft cloth after a long day. After sweat, sunscreen or salt water, rinse it in fresh water and dry it, the clasp included. A soft toothbrush clears dirt from between the links. Keep harsh cleaners and abrasive pads away from the colored finishes. Water resistance is a property of the watch, not the band, so follow your watch's own rating.
A link band is a dressy choice. For workouts and swimming, a soft band is more comfortable: see our silicone and rubber watch bands.
To swap bands, turn the watch over on a soft cloth, press the band release button between the two slots, and slide the old band out sideways. Slide each end of The Summit in from the side until you feel a click, then give it a gentle tug to check that it is locked.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on each product page and at checkout.
You can return an unworn band in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. Read the full terms on our delivery and returns page.
No. The Summit is stainless steel in every color. Titanium Gray is the name of its cool mid-gray finish, picked to sit close to the natural Ultra case. Starlight is a warmer, lighter gray in the same steel.
Pick 44/45/49. Every Ultra has a 49 mm case, and that band size also fits 44 and 45 mm cases and the 42 mm case of Series 1 to 3. In that size the band comes in Starlight and Blue.
It depends on the series. A 42 mm Series 10 or later is a small case and takes 42 (S10+). A 42 mm Series 1, 2 or 3 is a large case and takes 44/45/49.
Use the pin tool in the box to push out the pin between two links, lift out a link and push the pin back in. Take links out evenly on both sides of the clasp, one at a time, and try the band on between steps. Keep the spare links.
No. Turn the watch over, press the band release button and slide the old band out. Slide each end of The Summit into its slot until it clicks, then tug gently to check it is locked. The pin tool is only for taking out links.
