The Tempo is a silicone sport band for Garmin watches with 22 mm lugs. It is built from two layers in two different colors: one on the outside and a second one underneath. The second color lines the inside of the band and shows as a rim around each of the rounded holes, so a Black/Orange band reads as black with a flash of orange every time you move your wrist.
The buckle is a plain pin buckle in matte black on every color, with two keepers in the outside color to hold the tail flat. Quick-release pins sit at both ends, so changing bands takes a minute and no tools.
The first color in each name is the outside, the second is the color underneath:
Black/Gray and Navy/Black are the quiet ones; from a distance they look almost like a single color. Black/Orange, Black/Yellow and Lime/Black are the loud ones, easy to spot against a dark watch case. The photo of each color shows both layers, so you know what you get before you order.
It is a sport band first: soft, flexible and easy to rinse, made for runs, rides and the gym. For a dressier look on the same watch, browse all of our Garmin watch bands.
The Tempo comes in one width, 22 mm, with standard quick-release pins. That covers these Garmin watches:
Check the size of your model before you order, because several of these watches also come in a smaller version with narrower lugs. The 41 mm Venu 4, Venu 3S, Venu 2S, Forerunner 265S, Forerunner 255S and Vivoactive 4S take 18 mm bands. Vivoactive 5, Vivoactive 6, Venu Sq 2, Forerunner 165, Forerunner 245 and the 42 mm Forerunner 570 take 20 mm bands. None of these fit The Tempo.
The Forerunner 955, 965 and 970 are a different story: they use QuickFit 22 bands, which attach to the watch in their own way, so a quick-release band like this one is not made for them.
Not sure which model you own? The Garmin Connect app shows the exact name under your devices. The Tempo also works on other watches with 22 mm lugs and standard spring bars; our fit guide shows how to measure between the lugs.
To take the old band off, turn the watch over, slide the small lever on its pin toward the middle of the band and lift that end out of the lug. To fit The Tempo, set one end of its pin into the hole on one lug, pull the lever back, line the other end up with the second hole and let go. Do the same with the other half. The buckle half goes at the top of the watch and the half with the holes at the bottom. Give each half a firm tug to make sure both pins have clicked in.
For a run, wear the band snug enough that the watch doesn't slide around on your wrist. For the rest of the day, one hole looser is more comfortable.
Silicone is easy to keep clean. After a sweaty workout, rinse the band with water and a little mild soap, then pat it dry with a towel. Light colors such as Pink/White, Blue/White and Teal/White can pick up dye from new jeans or a dark bag, so give those a wipe more often. Keep the band away from strong heat, such as a car dashboard on a sunny day.
Each order is one band, both halves, 22 mm wide, in the color you choose.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on each product page and at checkout.
You can return an unworn band in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. The details are on our delivery and returns page.
No. The Venu 3S, Venu 2S, 41 mm Venu 4, Forerunner 265S, Forerunner 255S and Vivoactive 4S take 18 mm bands, and The Tempo is 22 mm only. It fits the larger versions: Venu 3, Venu 2, the 45 mm Venu 4, Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 255.
No. The Forerunner 955, 965 and 970 use QuickFit 22 bands, which attach to the watch differently. The Tempo has standard quick-release pins, made for watches such as the Venu 3, Forerunner 265 and Vivoactive 4.
The first color in the name. Black/Orange is black outside with orange underneath, and the orange also shows around each hole. Red/Black is the other way around: red outside, black underneath. The photo of each color shows both layers.
Yes, that is what it is made for. The silicone is soft and flexible, and it rinses clean with water and a little mild soap after a sweaty session. Pat it dry with a towel and it is ready for the next one.
No. Both halves have quick-release pins: slide the small lever, set the pin between the lugs and let go. Swapping bands takes a minute or two, and your old band goes back on the same way.
