What it is

The Digital Steel Bracelet is a metal watch band made for Casio digital watches. It uses stainless steel links and a metal buckle. The band has an 18 mm lug width, so it fits watches with 18 mm lug spacing. It works on the Casio F-91W, SGW400, F84, F105, F108, A158W, A168, AE1200 and AE1300. This is a unisex band, so it suits a range of wrists and styles.

The band comes in six colors. Silver and gold give a classic metal look. Black and blue add a darker tone. Rose gold brings a warm finish. Colorful offers a mix of shades for a playful look. Each color uses the same stainless steel build and the same metal buckle.

Sizes

The band is made for 18 mm lugs. That is the only lug width for this product. Check your watch before you order. The lug width is the gap between the two lugs where the band attaches. If your watch has 18 mm lugs, this band will fit.

Lug width Fits
18 mm Casio F-91W, SGW400, F84, F105, F108, A158W, A168, AE1200, AE1300

Measure the lug width on your watch with a ruler or a caliper. Measure the inside gap between the lugs, not the outside of the case. If the gap is 18 mm, this is the right band. A band that is too wide will not fit between the lugs. A band that is too narrow will slide and may not sit straight.

Colors

You can pick from six colors:

  • Silver
  • Black
  • Gold
  • Blue
  • Rose gold
  • Colorful

All colors use stainless steel and a metal buckle. The color is a finish on the metal, so the band keeps the same feel and weight across options. Pick a color that matches your watch case or your daily style. Silver and gold are common choices for a clean metal look. Black and blue work well with darker watches. Rose gold adds a warmer tone. Colorful gives you a brighter mix.

How to fit it

Fitting the band takes a few minutes. You need a small spring bar tool or a thin flat tool. Follow these steps:

  1. Put your watch face down on a soft cloth.
  2. Find the spring bars on the old band. They sit between the lugs.
  3. Use the tool to push one spring bar tip inward. Lift the old band away from the lug.
  4. Repeat on the other side to remove the old band.
  5. Slide one end of the new band between the lugs.
  6. Set the spring bar into the lug holes. Push the band until the bar clicks into place.
  7. Tug the band gently to check that it is secure.
  8. Repeat on the other side.

After the band is on, adjust the length. The band uses links and a metal buckle. You can remove links to shorten the band or add them back to lengthen it. A small link tool or a jeweler can help with this step. Set the buckle so the watch sits snug on your wrist. It should not slide too much, and it should not press into your skin.

If you are not sure about the fit, visit a local watch shop. They can size the band and check the spring bars. New spring bars are a good idea when you change a band. They are small and easy to lose, so keep a spare set.

Care

Stainless steel is easy to care for. Wipe the band with a soft cloth after wear. This removes skin oils and dust. For a deeper clean, use a soft brush with mild soap and warm water. Dry the band with a cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach and abrasive pads. They can scratch the finish or dull the color.

Keep the band away from deep scratches and hard surfaces. Metal can pick up marks over time. A soft cloth and a light touch will keep it looking clean. If the band gets wet in salt water, rinse it with fresh water and dry it. Store the watch in a dry place when you are not wearing it. A watch box or a soft pouch works well.

Check the spring bars and the buckle from time to time. Make sure the band is still secure. If a spring bar feels loose, replace it. If the buckle feels loose, a jeweler can tighten it. With simple care, the band will stay in good shape for daily wear.
