The Apex is a silver stainless steel link band made for the 47 mm Galaxy Watch Ultra. Its solid end links are shaped to meet the Ultra's case without a gap, with the connector built in. A folding clasp with a push button on each side closes flat under the wrist, so there is no tail of strap to tuck away.
It is a heavier, dressier band than silicone, the one to wear with a shirt and jacket, and it comes off again in a minute when you head outdoors and want a sport band back on.
The Apex comes in one fit, Ultra 47, for the Galaxy Watch Ultra line:
The 2025 Ultra is the same watch as the 2024 model, and Samsung lists bands made for the Ultra as compatible with the Ultra2. The model name and case size are printed on the back of the watch, and you can also find the model on the watch in Settings, under About watch.
It does not fit the Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic or Watch9, which use a different connector, or the Watch4, Watch5, Watch6, Watch7 and Watch FE, which take standard 20 mm quick-release bands. Our Galaxy Watch bands page lists every model with the band it takes.
The Apex is sized by taking out links, like most steel link bands. Measure your wrist first with a strip of paper, as our fit guide shows, so you know how much to take out before you start. Remove the same number of links on each side of the clasp, so the watch stays centered on top of your wrist, and try the band on between steps. If you have not resized a link band before, a watch shop or jeweler can do it in a few minutes. Keep the spare links in case you want them back later.
A link band should keep the watch still on top of your wrist without pressing in. If it leaves a mark on your skin, it is one link too tight. If the watch slides around to the side of your wrist, it is one link too loose. Steel does not give the way silicone does, and wrists are often a little larger on a hot afternoon than on a cool morning, so if you are caught between two lengths, choose the looser one.
To open the clasp, press the buttons on both sides at once and it unfolds. Fold it shut until it clicks, and check that it has locked.
Stainless steel takes daily wear in stride. Wipe the band with a soft cloth after a long day. After sweat, sunscreen or salt water, rinse it in fresh water and dry it, the clasp included. A soft toothbrush clears dirt from between the links. Water resistance belongs to the watch, not the band, so follow your watch's own rating. For swimming, diving or a long trail run, a silicone band is the more comfortable choice; our guide to which watch strap to choose compares the materials.
To fit The Apex, lay the watch face down on a soft cloth and take the old band off. Line up one end of The Apex with the watch and push it in until it locks, then do the same on the other side. Give each end a gentle tug to check that it holds.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on each product page and at checkout.
You can return an unworn band in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. Read the full terms on our delivery and returns page.
Yes. Samsung lists bands made for the Galaxy Watch Ultra as compatible with the Watch Ultra2, and The Apex is made for the Ultra connector. It also fits the Ultra from 2024 and 2025, which are the same 47 mm watch.
No. The Watch8, Watch8 Classic and Watch9 use a different connector, and the Watch4 to Watch7 and the Watch FE take standard 20 mm quick-release bands. The Apex fits the Galaxy Watch Ultra line only.
No. The Apex is stainless steel throughout, links and clasp alike, in a plain silver finish.
Take out links, the same number on each side of the clasp, and try the band on between steps. Measure your wrist first so you know how much to remove. If you have not resized a link band before, a watch shop or jeweler can do it in a few minutes.
Press the buttons on both sides of the clasp at the same time and it unfolds. To close it, fold it back down until you hear a click, then check that it has locked.
