The Meridian is a stainless steel link bracelet for the Galaxy Watch8 series and the Watch9. Three rows of links run its full length, and most colors mix brushed and polished surfaces; Black is brushed all over. The end links are solid and shaped to sit against the case without a gap, with the connector built in, so each end locks straight into the watch. A double folding clasp closes under the wrist and lies flat against it.
There are six colors. Silver is plain steel throughout. Black covers the links and clasp alike, and Rose Gold runs from end to end in one warm tone. Silver/Blue, Silver/Gold and Silver/Pink keep silver outer rows and a silver clasp around a colored center row in blue, yellow gold or pink. Black and Silver/Gold come in the 40 and 44 mm fits only. The other four come in every fit, the Watch8 Classic included.
Pick the fit for your model and case size. Both are printed on the back of the watch.
The Watch8, Watch8 Classic and Watch9 share one band connector, and Samsung lists Watch8 bands as a match for the Watch9, which keeps the same 40 and 44 mm case sizes. A steel band's end links are cut to the case they meet, which is why each case size has its own fit.
The Meridian does not fit the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which uses a connector of its own, or the Watch4, Watch5, Watch6, Watch7 and Watch FE, which take standard 20 mm quick-release bands. Our Galaxy Watch bands page lists every model with the band it takes.
The band's size chart covers wrists from 6.9 to 9.1 in (175 to 230 mm). Up to 8 links come out to shorten it. Measure first: on a wrist under 6.9 in (175 mm), it stays loose even with every removable link taken out. Our fit guide shows how to measure your wrist with a strip of paper.
To take out a link, lay the band on a soft cloth. The removable links are marked with small arrows. Push the pin out in the direction of the arrow with a link pin tool or a thin punch, lift out the link, then push the pin back in with its narrow end first and press it home until it sits flush. Take the same number of links out on each side of the clasp, so the watch stays centered on your wrist, and try the band on between steps. A link band should keep the watch still on top of your wrist without pressing in. If it leaves a mark on your skin, it is one link too tight. Keep the spare links and pins in case you want them back later.
Stainless steel takes daily wear in stride. Wipe the band with a soft cloth after a long day. After sweat, sunscreen or salt water, rinse it in fresh water and dry it, the clasp included. A soft toothbrush clears dirt from between the links. Keep abrasive pads and harsh cleaners away from the black and rose gold finishes. Water resistance belongs to the watch, not the band, so follow your watch's own rating.
To swap bands, lay the watch face down on a soft cloth and take the old band off. Fit each end of The Meridian the way the original band went on, until it locks, and give each side a gentle tug to check that it holds. For workouts and swimming, a silicone band is the more comfortable choice; our guide to which watch strap to choose compares the materials.
Delivery is $6.95, or free on orders over $49. The delivery time for your country shows on each product page and at checkout.
You can return an unworn band in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by you, unless the item arrived faulty or incorrect. Read the full terms on our delivery and returns page.
Pick by model and case size. Watch8/9 40 is for a 40 mm Watch8 or Watch9, Watch8/9 44 for the 44 mm, and 8 Classic 46 for the Watch8 Classic. The model and case size are printed on the back of your watch.
No. The Galaxy Watch Ultra uses a connector of its own, and the Watch4, Watch5, Watch6, Watch7 and Watch FE take standard 20 mm quick-release bands. The Meridian is made for the Watch8, Watch8 Classic and Watch9 only.
Push the pin out of a removable link in the direction of the small arrow, using a link pin tool or a thin punch. Lift out the link and push the pin back in, narrow end first. Take links out evenly on both sides of the clasp and try the band on between steps. Up to 8 links come out.
The size chart starts at 6.9 in (175 mm). On a smaller wrist the band stays loose even with every removable link taken out, so measure your wrist before you order. Our fit guide shows how to do it with a strip of paper.
No. Silver, Rose Gold, Silver/Blue and Silver/Pink come in all three fits, the 8 Classic 46 included. Black and Silver/Gold come in the 40 and 44 mm Watch8 and Watch9 fits only.
