The Ledger Leather Watch Band

What this band is

The Ledger is a watch band made of cow leather. It fits traditional watches and closes with a pin buckle. The leather has a clean, low-key look that works on a dress watch, a field watch or a daily wear piece. Spring bars come in the pack, so you can mount the band as soon as it arrives.

Sizes

Lug width is the measurement that matters most. Measure the distance between the lugs on your watch case, then match it to the list below. The band is offered in nine widths.

If your measurement falls between two widths, choose the wider one only if the lugs allow it. A band that is too wide will not sit flush against the case.

Colors and buckle finishes

Color choices include Black, Brown, Dark brown, Blue, Dark blue, White, Green, Pink and Red. Several colors also come with a buckle finish to match your watch case. The options are:

• Black, Black with gold buckle, Black with rose gold buckle, Black with silver buckle, Black with white stitching, Black with white stitching and gold buckle
• Dark brown, Dark brown with gold buckle, Dark brown with rose gold buckle, Dark brown with silver buckle, Dark brown with white stitching, Dark brown with white stitching and gold buckle

If your watch is steel, a silver buckle blends in. If it is two-tone or gold, a gold or rose gold buckle ties the look together.

Fitting the band

1. Remove the old band by pressing the spring bar tips inward with the tool in the pack.
2. Slide the new spring bars into the band ends.
3. Set one end into the lugs, then compress the bar and set the other end.
4. Tug gently on the band to confirm both bars are seated.
5. Thread the tail through the pin buckle and the keeper.

Work on a soft surface so the watch case does not get scratched. Take your time on the first side, then repeat on the other.

Care

Wipe the leather clean with a dry or barely damp cloth. Keep it away from water, including sinks, showers and pools. Leather softens with wear and takes on a deeper tone over time. If the band gets soaked, blot it dry and let it air out away from direct heat.

What is in the pack

Each pack holds the watch band, a fitting tool and spring bars. Nothing else is needed to mount the band on a traditional watch with the correct lug width.
