What it is and how it is made

The Litchi Leather Band is a replacement watch strap cut from leather with a litchi pattern. The surface has a small, even pebbled texture that gives the band depth without shine. A steel pin buckle closes the strap, and spring bars come in the box so you can mount it as soon as it arrives.

The band is 7.9 in (20 cm) long and tapers to the buckle in the usual way. It suits dress watches, field watches, and everyday casual watches. If you want a strap that reads a little warmer than metal, this is the one to reach for.

Sizes

Lug width is the measurement that matters most. Measure the distance between your watch case lugs in millimeters, then pick the matching size. The band comes in five widths.

Lug width Common case fit
14 mm Smaller dress and vintage cases
16 mm Slim dress and mid-size cases
18 mm Many classic and field cases
20 mm Sport and dive cases
22 mm Larger sport and pilot cases

If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the wider one only if the lugs truly measure that width. A strap that is too wide will not sit flush against the case.

Colors and styles

There are nine colorways, and two of them add white stitching for contrast.

  • Black

  • Green
  • White
  • Brown

  • Light brown
  • Blue
  • Pink

Solid colors keep the look quiet and let the watch case lead. The white stitching versions add a sportier line along the band. Brown and light brown pair well with gold-tone or bronze cases. Black works with steel and black cases. Green, blue, and pink give a plain watch a clear point of color.

How to fit it

  1. Check your lug width in millimeters. Use a ruler or caliper between the inner edges of the lugs.
  2. Pick the matching band size from the list above.
  3. Remove your old strap. A spring bar tool makes this easier, and it protects the lugs from scratches.
  4. Slide one spring bar into the new band, seat one end in a lug hole, then compress the bar and seat the other end.
  5. Repeat on the second side, then check that both bars are fully seated before wearing the watch.
  6. Fasten the pin buckle and adjust to the hole that fits your wrist.

The band is 7.9 in (20 cm) long, which fits most wrists at a standard position. If you wear your watch loose, the tail may sit a little longer than usual.

Care

Leather likes dry air and a little attention. Wipe the band with a soft dry cloth after wearing it, especially in warm weather. Keep it away from long soaks in water, harsh cleaners, and direct heat. If the leather feels dry over time, a small amount of leather conditioner on a cloth will help. Store the watch on a stand or in a box so the band keeps its curve. Swap bands now and then if you wear the same watch daily, which gives each strap time to rest.

Why this band

The litchi pattern hides small scuffs better than a smooth finish, so the band keeps a clean look through daily wear. The steel pin buckle is simple to use and easy to replace if you ever want a different clasp. With nine colors and five lug widths, it is a straightforward way to change the feel of a watch you already own.

Questions

How do I know which lug width to order?

Measure the distance in millimeters between the inner edges of your watch lugs. Match that number to one of the five sizes: 14 mm, 16 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, or 22 mm.

Does the band come with spring bars?

Yes. Spring bars are included with the band, so you can fit it without buying extra hardware.

What is the band length?

The band measures 7.9 in (20 cm) in length. It fits most wrists at a standard position with the pin buckle.

Is the leather real leather?

The band is made from leather with a litchi pattern. The pebbled texture is part of the finish and helps hide small marks from daily wear.
