A titanium bracelet for Garmin QuickFit watches

The Granite is a titanium link bracelet with a black finish, made for the larger Garmin outdoor and multisport watches. A colored row runs down the middle of the band between the black outer links, in orange, black, lime or gray. Orange and lime stand out against a black watch case, gray is the subtle option, and all black is the quiet pick if the watch goes to the office as often as to the trailhead.

Titanium weighs a little over half as much as stainless steel, which matters on a watch the size of a Fenix or an Enduro. A heavy bracelet lets a big case slide toward the side of the wrist, while a lighter one keeps it sitting flat on top, where you can read it at a glance.

You choose the clasp together with the color. The fold clasp is a classic fold-over clasp that snaps shut under the wrist. The magnetic clasp has a hinged lid that magnets hold closed: lift it with a fingertip to open the band and press it down to close it. Both sit centered under the wrist once the band is sized.

QuickFit 22 or QuickFit 26

QuickFit is the band system on most of the Garmin outdoor and premium multisport watches. The end of the band presses onto the pin between the lugs and locks in place, with no tools. Garmin makes QuickFit in 20, 22 and 26 mm, and the Granite comes in the two larger sizes:

  • QuickFit 22: Fenix 8 47 mm, Fenix 7 Pro, Fenix 6 and 6 Pro, epix Pro 47 mm, Forerunner 955, 965 and 970.
  • QuickFit 26: Fenix 8 51 mm, Fenix 7X Pro, Fenix 6X Pro, epix Pro 51 mm, Enduro 2, Enduro 3 and tactix 7.

QuickFit bands and standard quick-release bands do not swap with each other, even at the same width. If your watch has thin spring bars with a small pin you slide to release, as the Venu, vivoactive and Forerunner 55, 165, 255 and 265 do, the Granite will not fit it. You can find bands for those watches on our Garmin watch bands page. Not sure which system your watch uses? The owner's manual names it in the section on changing the bands.

Setting the length

The band comes at full length, about 7.1 in (180 mm), and you shorten it by taking out links with the tool from the box. Remove links on both sides of the clasp in turn, so the clasp stays centered under your wrist, then rejoin the band with the pin you pushed out.

Take out one link at a time and try the band on between steps. A large watch is most comfortable when the band is snug enough not to slide over the wrist bone, with room for a finger underneath. If you land between two lengths, the looser one is usually better on warm days, when wrists swell a little. Keep the spare links and pins in a small bag in case you want the band longer later. Our fit guide shows how to measure your wrist before you start.

To fit the band, release the band on your watch and lift it off. Line up each end of the Granite with the pin between the lugs and press until it locks, then give both ends a firm tug before you head out.

Caring for titanium

Titanium handles rain, sweat and hand washing well. After salt water, chlorine or a long, sweaty day, rinse the band in fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth, paying attention to the gaps between links and around the clasp, where grit collects. A soft toothbrush with a drop of mild soap reaches between the links. Like any black-finished metal, the band can show wear on its edges after hard use, so skip metal polish and scouring pads. If you choose the magnetic clasp, keep it away from cards with a magnetic strip. For swimming and hard training, a silicone band is more comfortable, and QuickFit makes the swap a matter of seconds.

Questions

Which fit should I choose?

Pick QuickFit 22 for the Fenix 8 47 mm, Fenix 7 Pro, Fenix 6 and 6 Pro, epix Pro 47 mm and Forerunner 955, 965 or 970. Pick QuickFit 26 for the Fenix 8 51 mm, Fenix 7X Pro, Fenix 6X Pro, epix Pro 51 mm, Enduro 2 or 3 and tactix 7. The owner's manual of your watch names its band size.

Will it fit a Venu, vivoactive or Forerunner 265?

No. Those watches use standard quick-release bands, and QuickFit and quick-release bands are not interchangeable. Choose one of our quick-release metal bands in the right width for those watches instead.

What is the difference between the two clasps?

The fold clasp is a classic fold-over clasp that snaps shut under the wrist. The magnetic clasp has a hinged lid that magnets hold closed, so it opens with one lift of a fingertip. Both are sized the same way, by taking out links.

Do I need to remove links?

Most people do. The band comes at full length, about 7.1 in (180 mm). Use the tool from the box to take out links on both sides of the clasp, one at a time, and keep the spares.

Can I wear it in water?

Titanium copes with rain, sweat and hand washing. Rinse it in fresh water after salt water or chlorine and dry it, including the gaps between links. For swimming, a silicone band is more comfortable.
