The Ranger is made from dense woven nylon webbing, much like the material of a good backpack strap. It closes with hook-and-loop: pass the end through the buckle, pull it to the fit you want and press it flat. That makes it easy to wear snug for a run and let out over a jacket cuff when the weather turns.
Each band carries two sewn-on fabric patches with bold outdoor lettering, and the QuickFit connectors are black, for a rugged look that suits an outdoor watch. Webbing is a good match for long hikes, travel and cold days, when you want a band that sits flat under a sleeve and adjusts in seconds. If you prefer a plain band, browse our other Garmin watch bands.
It comes in eight colors: Black, Army Green, Khaki, Brown, Gray, Blue, Orange and Red. Most colors are made in all three QuickFit sizes; Orange comes in QuickFit 20 and 22, and Blue in QuickFit 20 and 26.
The Ranger comes in every QuickFit size, so it covers small, standard and large Garmin cases:
Go by the case size of your watch, not only the model name: the Fenix 8, for example, comes in 43, 47 and 51 mm cases, and each one takes a different QuickFit size. Garmin advises against third-party bands on the Fenix 8 Pro, Fenix 9 Pro, Quatix 8 Pro and D2 Mach 2 Pro, because metal parts near the case can disturb their satellite and LTE signals, so we do not list the Ranger for those four watches.
Hook-and-loop closes at any point along the strap, so you fine-tune the fit every time you put the band on. The size you do need to get right is the QuickFit size for your watch. If you are not sure which that is, take your current band off: Garmin prints the size on the back. Our fit guide explains how to measure your wrist.
To fit it, slide the latch on your old band's QuickFit connector and lift the band off the watch. Line up each Ranger connector with the lugs and press it into place until the latch closes over the pin on the watch, then give the band a firm tug to check it is secure. To take it off again, slide the latch and lift. New connectors can feel stiff for the first few swaps. Press each one straight down into the lugs rather than at an angle, and it seats more easily.
Hand wash the band in warm water with a little mild soap. Close the hook-and-loop on itself first so it does not collect lint, then press out the water with a towel and let it air dry. Skip the washing machine and the dryer, which are hard on the patches and the hook-and-loop. Nylon handles rain, sweat and river crossings, but it stays damp for a while, so rinse it in fresh water after salt water or a pool.

Match it to the case: the 43 mm Fenix 8 takes QuickFit 20, the 47 mm takes QuickFit 22 and the 51 mm takes QuickFit 26. The Fenix 8 Pro is not on our list, as Garmin asks owners to use its own non-metal bands.
Yes. The Fenix 7S and 7S Pro take QuickFit 20, as do the Fenix 6S, the Fenix 5S and the Epix Pro 42 mm. Choose QuickFit 20 under Fit.
Yes. The Enduro 2 and Enduro 3 take QuickFit 26, as do the Fenix 7X, the Fenix 6X and the 51 mm Fenix 8. Choose QuickFit 26 under Fit.
Yes, nylon handles rain, sweat and a swim, but it stays damp longer than silicone. Rinse it in fresh water after salt or pool water and let it dry flat.
