A stretch loop with a frame for the sensor

The Interval is a stretch nylon band for WHOOP 5.0. The woven nylon gives a little as you move, and the sensor sits in a black metal frame: a U-shaped bracket with clips that holds it in place on the band. The band and the frame come together, so apart from the sensor you already own, there is nothing else to buy before you wear it.

There are seven single colors: Black, Midnight Blue, Army Green, Gray, Starlight, Pink and Chevron, a teal and pink chevron weave. Six more are two-band sets, marked (2): Black + Gray, Black + Starlight, Starlight + Pink, Black + Navy, Black + Green and Black + Chevron. A set holds two bands, each with its own frame. Keep one on and one in your bag, or wear a dark band on weekdays and a lighter one on the weekend. Every band we carry for the sensor is on our WHOOP bands page.

Which WHOOP it works with

The Interval is made for the WHOOP 5.0 sensor. The sensor is not included: you move it over from the band you wear now.

It does not fit WHOOP 4.0. The 5.0 sensor is smaller than the 4.0, and WHOOP made the sliders on its newer bands smaller to match, so bands don't swap between the two generations. If you still wear a 4.0, this band isn't the one.

We list The Interval for WHOOP 5.0 only. If you wear a WHOOP MG, look at The Wrap, which lists both sensors.

Sizing and fitting the frame

The Interval fits wrists from 5.9 to 8.7 in (150 to 220 mm), and the weave gives about 1.2 in (30 mm) of stretch. To check your size, wrap a soft tape measure around your wrist where you wear the sensor, about a finger's width above the wrist bone. No tape at hand? Setting it up takes a minute:

• Take the sensor out of your current band.
• Set it into the U-shaped bracket so it sits flat, with its underside facing your wrist.
• Check that the clips hold the sensor on both sides.
• Put the band on and settle the sensor on top of your wrist.

Wear it snug but not tight. The sensor should stay flat and not slide around when you move your arm, and the band shouldn't leave deep marks. If the sensor shifts, move the band a little higher up your forearm, where the arm is wider.

With a two-band set, each band keeps its own frame, so a swap only means moving the sensor from one frame to the other. Leave the spare frame on its band so it doesn't go missing.

Care

Take the sensor out before you clean the band. Hand wash the nylon in lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, work the suds through the weave with your fingers and rinse it well. Press out the water with a towel and let it air dry flat, away from radiators and direct sun. Skip the washing machine and the dryer: heat and tumbling wear out the stretch.

Wipe the metal frame with a soft, damp cloth and dry it before you put the sensor back. After salt water or a chlorinated pool, rinse the band and the frame in fresh water the same day. If you train hard most days, a quick rinse after each session keeps the weave fresh between washes.
