The Quick Release Spring Bar Set gives you a simple way to change watch bands at home. Each bar has a small built-in lever on the end. Pull the lever with your fingernail, and the bar compresses so the strap slides free of the lugs. No spring bar tool needed for a swap.
Every bar is made of stainless steel. The diameter is 0.07 in (1.8 mm), a common size that seats well in standard lug holes on traditional watches. The set works with leather straps, nylon bands, rubber straps and metal bracelets that accept quick release bars.
This is a fitting part, not a band. It sits between your watch case and your strap, and it holds the strap in place once installed.
Lug width is the gap between your watch lugs, measured in millimeters. Match that number to the bar size. The set covers 13 widths:
| Lug width | Common case size |
|---|---|
| 12 mm | Small dress watches |
| 13 mm | Small dress watches |
| 14 mm | Slim cases |
| 15 mm | Slim cases |
| 16 mm | Mid-size cases |
| 17 mm | Mid-size cases |
| 18 mm | Mid-size cases |
| 19 mm | Mid-size cases |
| 20 mm | Sport and dive cases |
| 21 mm | Sport and dive cases |
| 22 mm | Sport and dive cases |
| 23 mm | Large cases |
| 24 mm | Large cases |
Pick your lug width and your pack size. The 4 piece pack suits a single watch or a spare set for a strap you rotate often. The 20 piece pack suits a full collection, a repair drawer or a few watches that share the same lug width.
Measure your lug width first. Use a ruler or caliper on the inside of the lugs, from one inner edge to the other. Round to the nearest millimeter. If you are between sizes, choose the smaller width.
To install a bar, slide one end into a lug hole. Pull the quick release lever back, press the other end into the opposite lug hole, then let the lever snap into place. Tug the strap gently to confirm the bar is seated. To remove it, pull the lever again and lift the strap away from the case.
A few habits keep the fit secure:
Wipe the bars clean with a dry cloth. Keep them away from water. Moisture can work into the lever mechanism over time and affect how smoothly it moves. Store spare bars in a small box or a compartment in your watch tool kit so they stay dry and easy to find.
Spring bars are the smallest part of a watch setup and the first to wear out. A bent or weak bar can let a strap come free. Keeping a few spares in your watch repair kit means you can replace one in seconds and get the watch back on your wrist. The quick release design makes that swap simple, with no extra tools and no scratched lugs.
Measure the gap between your watch lugs in millimeters, from one inner edge to the other. Match that number to the bar size. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller width.
No. Each bar has a built-in quick release lever. Pull the lever with your fingernail to compress the bar, seat it in the lugs, then let it snap into place.
Each bar measures 0.07 in (1.8 mm) in diameter. That size fits standard lug holes on traditional watches.
Choose 4 pieces for a single watch or one spare set. Choose 20 pieces if you have several watches, change straps often or want spares in your repair kit.
